Volunteering

Volunteer with us, or with an African animal advocacy organisation

If you are interested in volunteering for Animal Advocacy Africa, and/or an African animal advocacy organisation that we support, then we are keen to hear from you! Please fill in the following form.

We welcome volunteering support from people who would like to offer more specific professional expertise in certain areas; we are currently most excited about individuals who can support us in the following areas:

Fundraising 

• Grant writing. Draft responses to grant applications of major, open grantmaking application cycles.

• Donor cultivation. Be involved in all parts of the donor cultivation cycle e.g. identifying relevant donors, building and maintaining relationships with major donors, soliciting donations. 

Project Management

• Curriculum development. Further develop and refine our curriculum for our latest training program for African advocates. 

• Facilitation. Deliver training sessions, facilitate group sessions and work with participants in our program. 

• Program recruitment. Reach out to prospective applicants and work on the selection and participant screening process.

Communications

• Creating our newsletters. Develop and curate content for our newsletters which we release once every 1-3 months. 

Volunteering now is a good avenue that may lead to future internships or jobs with us. If there is a good fit between what we’re looking for and what you’re able to contribute, we are excited about turning volunteers into staff! We generally think this is a great opportunity to have an impact in a much neglected area.
